I Being of Sound Mind am voting for Jerry Brown for California Governor

I had this epiphany last week, and I can’t shake its validity. California’s Government is an unrepairable house. They have been puttying up the termite holes, tossing throw rugs over the foundation cracks and spreading potpourri to cover up the sewage leaks. Doing whatever in the moment to make things look good, instead of fixing the leaks, shoring up the foundation or exterminating the termites.

Jerry Brown was the first derelict landlord or shall I say Captain of the HMS Califtanic. he started the mess my allowing state employees to unionize. Now the Government worker unions run California government. It used to be that government employees receive generous benefit packages to compensate for a lower base pay. Now for many they make much more in both cases than the private sector. Government payroll and especially the retirement benefits attached to that are not so slowly killing the State’s economy. I see it only fitting that Jerry be the Captain when this ship sinks. With a Jerry at the helm he will undoubtedly rubber-stamp every bone the legislature tosses to the unions.

This will speed the decline, the Earth may now have until 2015, but California is right on track to go down in flames in 2012 with Jerry at the helm. I have hope for the nation but California is a lost cause. California’s government must be driven to a quick economic ruin – total and utter bankruptcy, a collapse so complete that even a 9th Circuit Judge will have no choice but to render all employment contracts invalid. Only upon this complete razing of California can we begin anew, to rise up a functional, rational state built on personal responsibility instead of selfishness and foolish emotionalism.

I love and care for California and her citizens, so I will be voting accordingly on the propositions. I’m only looking for a collapse of the state government not the whole state so a yes vote on 23 and a No on 25 are vitally important to sa…ve jobs.

19- No: Because it is poorly written and is really pointless as it is in conflict with Federal law.
20- Yes: Because the foundation is rotten.
21- No: No new taxes for anything. Starve Sacramento
22- Yes: Force Sacramento to stop the budget parlor tricks.
23- Yes: This is already pretty simple if you bother to read the text instead of the false TV ads but I can make it even simpler. A yes vote will keep BEER LEGAL!
24- No: No new or higher taxes
25- No: This is a big fake out by Sacramento, do you really think they won’t get paid. A gimmick proposition to make raising taxes more palatable.
26- Yes: Will keep Sacramento more honest and will Starve the Sacramento beast.
27- No: The voters already spoke on this because Sacramento can’t be trusted. We already

Shocking news from Taxachusetts

First a Republican in Kennedy’s seat now this. Satan must be in the market for a winter parka. So is the city of Boston going to boycott Massachusetts now?   http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/05/mass_senate_pas.html

The upcoming dictatorship of the EPA

“But this administration will not ignore science or the law any longer, nor will we avoid the responsibility we owe to our children and grandchildren. By taking action and finalizing the endangerment finding on greenhouse gas pollution, we have been authorized and obligated to take reasonable efforts to reduce greenhouse pollutants under the Clean Air Act.” EPA administrator Lisa Jackson 12-7-2009 EPA Speech

So to translate, it is painfully obvious that the unwashed masses are realizing that Emperor Gore has no clothes. So before the electorate has a chance to stop us we will be pursing our dream of environmental domination in an effort to line our pockets via the largest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind, well since Eve got snookered anyway.

Just follow the money people. Just how does a narcissistic Vice-president make 100 million in ten years?

Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant.

Do you really want to give up your right to have babies or the amount of them?

How about Beer or soda, want those outlawed?

Like veggies? I hope so because livestock are a huge contributor to green house gases, only a matter of time before meat really is murder.

John and Ken KFI640 AM Tax Revolt @ Tom’s Farms May 2009

So I braved the nasty traffic to check out the AntiTax Rally at Tom’s Farms in Corona. It took me 105 minutes to get there, the trip back took 35. There were zillions of cars, though the crowd didn’t seem like it was overwhelming. I don’t even want to hazard a guess. They had a guy in a helicopter taking pix so I imagine we’ll have a crowd estimate next week.

Obama Orange County Town-hall Meeting

Being walking distance I decided it might be fun to photograph the circus outside the President’s town-hall meeting today. To my disappointment I wasn’t allowed onto the fairgrounds and unless there was something going on behind the fairgrounds there wasn’t much of any circus going on. Just these few dozen people milling about across the street from the Fair’s entrance.

Obama Town hall protesters

So without anything else to see and the likelihood of a brawl breaking out nil, I headed home. I thought I might try to get a photo from the West of the helicopters leaving if I had time before church. I get home pop some pizza in the oven, get my cameras downloading and turn on the town hall meeting. I listen to the President hem and haw through an answer and periodically check back. Just a few minutes later something sounds wrong. He is leaving. 5pm I guess is the end time. Some Obama supporter had told me 6PM. So I turn off the oven assemble the telephoto attachment for my old camera ( don’t have one for the good one) and run out to the truck to drive across the street into college park.

Change for the People

I HOPE this is not the CHANGE President Obama had in mind for all of us taxpayers.

Obama Change for America

President-elect Obama

Well I can’t say I’m doing any cartwheels today. I am somewhat surprised that the major newspapers don’t have OBAMA LANDSLIDE plastered across there front pages.
Because it wasn’t a landslide. It was a solid victory and the strongest victory since Bush Senior, who by the way had a more decisive victory %wise and much more so electoral college wise and was the best Democratic party showing since 1964.

But I am proud ( not for the first time Michelle Obama ) of my country that a half-black could be elected president. Just maybe this will take some wind out of the sails of the hate-monger, adulterer, fraud of a Reverend Jackson.

I think the best I can hope for is that President-elect Obama will turn out to be another typical self-serving politician. One that is more worried about staying in power and not ruffling any feathers, like President Clinton. What I expect though is that he will govern to the left of his Senate record and whole heartily embrace Marxism, which with Democratic control of Congress for the next two years is not as crazy as you might think. If he does we will pine for the economic prowess of President Carter. There will also be a severe increase in global violence.

And mark my words, when the you know what hits the fan, Obama, Congress and the mainstream media will all blame Bush and the Republicans. The recession will continue through out Obama’s first term, he will say I had no idea how bad Bush screwed things up, we are trying but we just need more time, four more years. Or if Obama holds off on his plans temporarily due to the recession and the unprecedented Federal intervention in the financial markets actually bring a rebound later in 2009 and we have a minor recovery, after which Obama lets the Bush tax cuts expire ( that is a tax increase in my book folks ) which result in us falling back into a recession again by 2012. Bush will again be to blame. After all Bush caused two recessions the current one and the one that began in Clinton’s last term at least that is how Obama calls it. Bottom line it will not be Obama’s or the Democratic Party’s fault, after all it never is, and that is the trouble with society today, not taking responsibility. It is no longer what you can do for your country but what your country can do for you.

PLEASE MR OBAMA PROVE ME WRONG — LET ME ADMIRE BOTH THE MAN AND THE OFFICE.

Election Day

Got to the polls a bit later than I normally do. I shoot for 9:30AM if I can manage, so as to miss the before work crowd but miss the lunch voters. Got there at 10:30AM and was out by 10:45AM. This was the first time I had to wait in a line for some time, but it was only 5 minutes or so. They also had about twice the amount of voting booths. Here behind the Orange Curtain we have an electronic system that is pretty straight forward.

The Fat Lady is in the Green Room

RealClearPolitics.com

I think the only thing we can pray for now is the Bradley Effect.

Go Bradley, Go Bradley, Go Bradley Go!!

Time will tell what Obama really stands for, but if he governs by his past actions, rhetoric and associates I think we need to rethink this Red state Blue state thing. A fifth grader will figure out that the Democratic Party, the Party of O² is without a doubt the Red party.

The state of the world

Lauren asked me what I thought about what’s going on in the world here is my reply:

As far as the nation goes the financial markets are suffering from a lack of confidence. The root cause is from bad mortgages which in number are few, its like one bad apple spoiling the barrel. Confidence is a foundational block of capitalism, without it we could see a depression. As I just wrote that I pictured a replay of the 1930s and 1940s. A worldwide financial collapse followed by a global war. Russia is puffing up their chest, Iran is barreling down the road to a nuke and China is arming up like there is no tomorrow. All we need is to elect the appeaser Obama to cinch an increase of global violence.

Congress needs to act very soon with some bailout plan or it might be too late. If this snowball gathers too much momentum it will become too large for the government to stop. The administration has already gone to extreme lengths to stabilize the financial system, but contrary to what liberals believe the government is not all powerful, it is not God.

I’ve always had problem imaging how America could ever get to a point of desperation that we would subject ourselves to a foreign power i.e. the anti-Christ. That was until just now when I realized that I never imagined that our financial system could crumble, that is the missing ingredient. We can not be defeated militarily by an outside force, but we could crumble from within. Now with 50 years of the liberal agenda wearing down the faith, courage and personal responsibility of Americans, I can see how that could be possible.

All this kind of makes me wonder about something I think I heard Greg Laurie say. That the end times will start once the last person, that is going to be saved, is saved. Well I didn’t get that distinction however, I’m getting the feeling that my name came in the last chapter and might have been on the last page.

While I do believe we should be prepared or at least aware of the possibilities, I don’t think these are the end times. When I see the power of God working in my life and others, the giving enthusiasm and faith of the younger generation at my church flourishing in materialistic OC, I think there is much left to be done. I also am hopeful that middle America will still stand tall for God and country. I think that Obama being basically even with McCain at this point in the election, despite Obama being the wet dream liberal messiah who gets 24/7 free praise and adulation from the media is telling that God has not left the building just yet.

Obama Sermon on the Mount

So I watched Obama’s acceptance speech tonight. from the rumors floating around about the Greek Temple setting to one about a huge dry-ice delivery I expecting him to rise out of the floor in a cloud of smoke with a giant spotlight trained on him as the coming of the new messiah. None of that happened. Also the fears that having the speech in an outdoor stadium would harken images of a Nazi rally also proved false, at least for me.

He promised early in the address that he would deliver details. Well not really. The only details he ever really goes into lately now that he doesn’t really talk about Iraq with passion anymore ( I guess cause it looks like we are winning and if he had his wishes the boys would be home by now with Iraq truly mired in civil war) is about raising taxes. Tonight however he talked about cutting taxes for 95% of all Americans, that was a whopper to me and was yelling BIG FAT LIAR PANTS ON FIRE at the TV. He actually said 95% of “working families” so that means he’s gunning for you seasoned citizens. He also said McCain is not going to give “not one penny of tax relief to more than 100 million Americans”, (Note the change in terms from “working families to Americans) surprisingly he is quite generous in that 100 million number. The actual number is closer to 200 million, but nobody seems to mention that those 200 million already don’t pay any taxes.

Anyway he continued on forging a middle ground of not taking a strong stand either way on a multitude of issues. Again back to his empty hope and change platform. There was some red meat for Dems in attendance but for the most part it was mostly “can’t we all just get along”, change, hope, trust me I’m smarter than those guys tripe. Oh and the most infuriating part is this paragraph BS which is actually a bipartisan favorite.

“Now, many of these plans will cost money, which is why I’ve laid out how I’ll pay for every dime: by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens that don’t help America grow.

But I will also go through the federal budget line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less, because we cannot meet 21st-century challenges with a 20Th-century bureaucracy.”

If we’ve learned anything the last 16 years the Blues and the Reds never cut anything. The situation always manages to be different once they reach Washington.

It was a solid speech delivered solidly and unlike some of Clinton’s State of Union addresses I had no serious urges to lodge heavy items toward the TV. I can see the appeal of Obama to the regular American that gets their news from CBS and never questions that info nor spends the time to actually read and think about details and consequences.

I just pray that most of America will demand some steak from Mr Sizzle before casting a vote for Senator Obama.

Oh and a last note, is it just me or does it seem that people are pronouncing his name differently now? I keep hearing Barako Bama actually all strung together now but with a very strong BARAKO.

Second Amendment Affirmed – a bit

The Supreme Court today decided to make up for its incorrect meddling in States rights this week ( the unconstitutionality ruling for the death penalty for child rape [I'd don't have a clear opinion on whether to have child rape as a capital offense or not. I do feel that decision is up to the individual state to decide.] ) and struck down the District of Columbia’s handgun ban. One could say that the Court feels the “proper” punishment for a child rapist is not via the State but by the parent exercising their Second Amendment right.

I must say that the ruling was somewhat of a surprise to me particularly given the Greening, Globalization and Wimpification of the High Court. Sadly I’m only half joking when I say that I thought it more likely for the Supreme Court to Affirm the Right To Arm Bears especially given the “dire” straits of our pigmentally challenged neighbors to the North.

I think these words of a dead white man speak for themselves:

“Resistance to sudden violence, for the preservation not only of my person, my limbs, and life, but of my property, is an indisputable right of nature which I have never surrendered to the public by the compact of society, and which perhaps, I could not surrender if I would.”
— John Adams, Boston Gazette, Sept. 5, 1763

Barry the Red

While there are a multitude of reasons Barack Hussein Obama is unfit to lead the greatest nation on earth. This clip is all you really need to hear. I haven’t quite figured out exactly what kind of “ist” he is (actually he seems more like a Manchurian candidate), but he certainly isn’t an American Capitalist and certainly will not hold up our constitutional right liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We need a leader that will stand up for Americans and not subjugate us to the will of any other nation. That is the American way, that is what got us here on the top of the heap and that is what will keep us here provided we keep within the intentions of our founding fathers. Name one action hero that asks his mommy for permission before he takes action? Why on earth would you defer to a lesser?

I hope America will come to its senses come November. McCain is most likely going to eat Obama’s lunch in the debates, I just hope Obama does send McCain into one of his fits of rage and then charges and pummels Obama to death with a microphone. Or maybe that would be a blessing depending on the VPs. Obama dead or at least in a coma for 6 months and McCain back in a familiar place where he will miss out on the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.

Yes, barring any acts of God, McCain is my man. I’m not happy with the choice but given these two evils the choice is easy. When push comes to shove I know McCain will stand and fight for the American way, Obama is already waving a white flag and he hasn’t even been elected. I can’t really think of an ideal candidate, but if I had make a snap choice I’d nominate Thomas Sowell. An intelligent man with common sense. A rare combination for a politician which might be why he isn’t a politician.

The Psalm of President Bush

When I read Psalm 10 today I immediately thought of GW and Islamic terrorists.

New American Standard from Bible Gateway
Psalm 10
A Prayer for the Overthrow of the Wicked.
1 Why do You stand afar off, O LORD?
Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?
2 In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted;
Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire,
And the greedy man curses and spurns the LORD.
4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him
All his thoughts are, “There is no God.”
5 His ways prosper at all times;
Your judgments are on high, out of his sight;
As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
6 He says to himself, “I will not be moved;
Throughout all generations I will not be in adversity.”
7 His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages;
In the hiding places he kills the innocent;
His eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.
9 He lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair;
He lurks to catch the afflicted;
He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net.
10 He crouches, he bows down,
And the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones.
11 He says to himself, “God has forgotten;
He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”
12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Your hand
Do not forget the afflicted.
13 Why has the wicked spurned God?
He has said to himself, “You will not require it.”
14 You have seen it, for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand
The unfortunate commits himself to You;
You have been the helper of the orphan.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer,
Seek out his wickedness until You find none.
16 The LORD is King forever and ever;
Nations have perished from His land.
17 O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble;
You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear
18 To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed,
So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.

McCain was Tied Up

This is my favorite line so far from this election cycle. I have to laugh just thinking about it.
