Krusty is Alive and Well in Qatar

Sheikh flies Lamborghini 6,500 miles to Britain for oil change at factory authorized service site. It only cost about $47,000. $40,000 for the flight and another $7000 for the tune-up, reminds me of Krusty the Clown lighting his cigar with a string of pearls.

Shaking and a Rolling

We just had a 5.4 quake in Chino Hills. Fairly strong shaking for 10 to 15 seconds enough to get me out of my office chair and ponder safety. The house continued to roll for another 30 seconds or so. Nothing fell or broke.

2008 Orange County Fair Photo Competition

I finally made it over to the fair grounds this evening to see my photo that was accepted for competition. I didn’t expect to win anything but there is always a little hope as I’ve never discerned just how they determine the winners. Anyway low and behold I managed a Staff Award ribbon. I don’t know the exact particulars but I think basically the regular staff members are given the privilege in recognizing their favorite photos. This is my fourth ribbon and the second Staff Award. I have a long way to go before my Ribbon collection can hold a candle to Lauren’s.

Frank’s 84th Birthday

Frank Araiza and Jeff Roundtree

We celebrated my father-in-law’s 84th birthday today, it was also the last weekend of my brother-in-law’s family visit from the East Coast, Kim didn’t make it out this year.

Crystal and Andrew

It’s surprising how much the kids get older every year. Especially Crystal this year. I’ve also figured where Frank’s hair went, Paul has it all!

Franks hair

It was a nice afternoon the Wakefields and Roundtrees were there as well as my mother. Frank was more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed than normal. He did want to sneak off to the bedroom at one point but his caretaker Jane would have nothing of that. The end result of that was, well a picture tells it better:

Laura and Bruce’s Birthday 2008

Laura and Bruce

We celebrated Laura’s Birthday and surprised Bruce with the inclusion of his bday as well. I continued my trend of joining the 21st century as well as my mom by doing a little Wii Bowling. Now this may be hard to believe but that was the first time I’ve played anything on a modern video game console. And by modern I mean since the Atarti 2600.

It was fun, I do believe all enjoyed it and “GrandMa” out-bowled more than one, you know who you are.

Steve & James’s 9th Annual 4th of July Bash

Being the 4th of July there is no other place I’d be than Steve and James’s house. My mother-in-law even dropped by to partake in the culinary booty. It was a smaller crowd this year due to James’s Grandmother passing a few days prior.

Here is one of those rare pictures of me. Not sure why Yvonne is flashing Bonnie.

Safe & Sane?

Due to the legal crackdown we once again had to stick to Safe and Sane fireworks. Though I’m not so sure just how safe or sane this looks.

Not safe and sane

The neighbors however, no doubt to the many years of being upstaged by Uncle Mike provided a show of illegal fireworks.

My desktop

This is my favorite, I love the colors, in fact it is currently my desktop image.
