DanLog the ramblings of Daniel Pettit

I had been wanting to do a photo shoot in these storm drain pipes in HB for some time. Problem was getting Lauren over there. Today we went to the Gold Frame in Huntington Beach to get her OC Fair entries matted and framed as I had no time to do such a thing myself. While it turned out to be a very expensive deal, the sagelike help of one of the employees insured a much sharper job than I either of us could have managed alone. Anyway since we were already way over there in Huntington it was a good time or lesser of an eviler time to do the shoot. Despite getting a humdinger of a headache she was a great little trooper, not bad looking either IMO.

Six men were charged in a plot to attack Fort Dix today, three of the defendants are ethnic Albanian brothers from the former Yugoslavia who operated a roofing business in Cherry Hill and lived in the United States illegally: Eljvir Duka, 23, Dritan Duka, 28, and Shain Duka, 26.

Okay what does that have to do with Parker and Stone the creators of TVs South Park? Three men, would-be terrorists: Duka, Duka, Duka. Yah so what? Wait say that again Duka Duka Duka. I’ve heard that before, I think. No – yes oh: Durka Durka Durka that supposedly made up Arabic “catch phrase” of the Arab terrorists in Parker and Stones’ motion picture Team America:World Police. Coincidence I think not. I hope the Department of Homeland Security has recruited Trey and Matt for their obvious clairvoyant link to future terrorist activity.

Congress might also take note that the three brothers are illegal immigrants that entered via the Mexican border over twenty years ago. It very well might be unfortunate in the long run that these men were so retarded er sorry Terroristically Challenged that they embraced an FBI agent that ended up practically running the show. I’m sure some lawyer will get them off on some lame entrapment theory. Anyway if they had actually carried out their plan, the President might have had to actually secure our borders instead of pretending to. His desire of an open border is truly insane during a time of war. I fear it will be his legacy when some terrorist group executes an attack within our borders and we later discover they gained access to our country via Mexico under his watch. Then he will rightfully inherit Jimmy Carter’s title of worst modern day President and should be brought up on charges of treason. For his wrongs would not be merely the misguided policies of a naive pollyannic country bumpkin but of a specific plan to undermine the rule of law and put the welfare of foreign nationals above those of American citizens. 

I took my 1000th photo on my Canon EOS-30D today. Of course it had to be a little out of focus, maybe I’ll get the hang of it before I hit 2000. I also should be hitting 10,000 on my trusty Olympus E-10 sometime this summer. I imagine it will be a street mattress.
