My First Bicycle
Okay the first one that I bought with my money. This is actually my fouth bicycle. I got one of those fancy new style of bikes called a mountain bike. It is kind of like a cross between a 10 speed and a beach cruiser (a BMX for adults). It has fatter tires with offroad tread, but lightweight alloy rims. A strong but light alloy frame and wide spread handle bars giving you a upright riding position and it has 15 gears! 10 gears are equivilant to your normal 10 speed road bike but then it has 5 extra super low gears for climbing. It feels as if you could climb a verticle wall if you could get enough traction. I got a Specialized “Stumpjumper” Sport model. The sport model is the “economy” model only $475. It has less expensive components and less exotic frame materials than the regular Stumpjumper, but otherwise it’s basically the same animal.
